New Delhi, July 23:

Special Commissioner of Police (Law & Order), Zone-I, Devesh Chandra Srivastava, visited Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia (RML) Hospital during the night intervening July 22 and 23 to meet Delhi Police personnel who sustained serious injuries while performing law and order duties during the protest at Jantar Mantar on Tuesday.

During the visit, the Special Commissioner enquired about the health condition of the injured police personnel and reviewed the medical treatment being provided to them. He interacted with the attending doctors and hospital authorities to ensure that the officers were receiving the best possible medical care.

Sh. Devesh Chandra Srivastava also met the injured personnel and their family members, assuring them of the Delhi Police’s full support. He appreciated the courage, dedication and professionalism displayed by the officers while carrying out their duties under difficult circumstances.

The police personnel were injured during the protest at Jantar Mantar on July 22, where they had been deployed to maintain law and order and ensure public safety. Following the incident, the injured officers were shifted to Dr. RML Hospital for treatment, where they continue to remain under medical supervision.

The visit reflects the Delhi Police leadership’s concern for the welfare of its personnel and its commitment to supporting officers injured in the line of duty. Senior officials are closely monitoring the recovery of the injured personnel and have wished them a speedy and complete recovery.
