New Delhi, June 25: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the results of the Combined Section Officers’ (Grade ‘B’) Limited Departmental Competitive Examination (LDCE), 2025, recommending candidates for appointment to various Central Government services based on their performance in the written examination and service record evaluation.

The examination was conducted in December 2025, while the assessment of candidates’ service records was completed in June 2026. Based on the combined evaluation, UPSC has prepared merit-wise lists for inclusion in the Select List 2025 for several services, including the Central Secretariat Service (CSS), Railway Board Secretariat Service (RBSS), Intelligence Bureau (IB), Armed Forces Headquarters Civil Service (AFHQCS), and the Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC).

For the Central Secretariat Service, 280 candidates have been recommended against 283 notified vacancies. In the Railway Board Secretariat Service, 20 candidates have been selected for 22 vacancies, while 69 candidates have been recommended for 72 vacancies in the Intelligence Bureau. All eight vacancies in the Armed Forces Headquarters Civil Service have been filled, whereas 27 candidates have been recommended against 29 vacancies in the Employees’ State Insurance Corporation.

UPSC also stated that the results of 17 candidates have been kept in sealed cover. These include nine candidates from the Central Secretariat Service, four from the Railway Board Secretariat Service, one from the Intelligence Bureau and three from ESIC.

The Commission clarified that the final selection of candidates will remain subject to the Government’s reservation guidelines and the outcome of pending legal proceedings before the courts. Additionally, the results for the Railway Board Secretariat Service have been declared as provisional because of an ongoing dispute related to the seniority list of Assistant Section Officers.

Candidates can access their results on the official UPSC website. The Commission has also informed that individual marks will be uploaded on the website within 15 days from the date of the result declaration. UPSC’s Facilitation Counter at its New Delhi campus will remain available on working days to assist candidates with result-related queries.
