4th Edition of ‘Bachchon Ka Maati’ Held in Noida, Over 1,000 Children Participate

Over 1,000 Children Join Bachchon Ka Maati 2026 in Noida; Creativity, Health and Talent Take Centre Stage

Noida, August 9, 2026: The fourth edition of the annual children’s activity camp ‘Bachchon Ka Maati’, organised by Maati Trust and Illness to Wellness, was successfully held at The Millennium School, Noida, witnessing enthusiastic participation from more than 1,000 children and their parents.

Supported by State Bank of India, Sparx and Shaheed Sumeet Roy Enterprises, the day-long event was organised from 10 am to 4 pm and featured a range of competitions and activities aimed at promoting creativity, confidence, healthy living and overall personality development among children.

At the prize distribution ceremony, Senior MP and former Minister Dr. Mahesh Sharma attended as the Chief Guest, while Mritunjay Pratap Singh, Director, RVNL, was the Guest of Honour. Other dignitaries present included Swapna Roy, mother of Kargil martyr Sumeet Roy; Sandeep Jain, General Manager, Illness to Wellness; Dhirendra Pratap Srivastava, Chairman, Abhijeet Memorial Foundation; Alok Aviral, General Manager, Indian Oil; poetess Vandana Raj; and Anand Singh.

Addressing the children, Dr. Mahesh Sharma shared key lessons for success in life and highlighted the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle. He also urged everyone to actively participate in the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign ahead of Independence Day, following the call given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Swapna Roy encouraged children to respect and honour their parents, stressing that the blessings, guidance and support of elders play an important role in the journey of life.

Mritunjay Pratap Singh encouraged children to develop creative thinking and remain dedicated to the nation while maintaining a healthy body and a positive and refined mindset.

Asif Azmi, Convenor of Maati Trust, said that Maati has evolved into a cultural identity of Purvanchal and is reaching communities across the country. The programme was compered by Prakhar Malviya ‘Kanha’, Co-Convenor, Maati Trust.

The camp featured competitions in drawing, quiz, dance, speech and essay writing for students from Classes 3 to 8. Participants also took part in yoga and etiquette sessions and enjoyed a magic show. As part of the Illness to Wellness initiative, Colonel Sanjay Chaturvedi conducted a session on handwashing and personal hygiene, educating children about healthy hygiene practices.

Kothari International School won the Maati-Relaxo Trophy for being the best-performing school.

The winners were felicitated with cash prizes and attractive gift hampers, while all participating children received certificates and refreshments.

Parents appreciated the initiative, saying that the camp provides young talents with an encouraging platform while creating awareness about health and hygiene. They also noted that such activities help children build confidence, creativity, discipline and a healthy spirit of competition.
