Reinforcing its commitment to students‘ overall well-being, Faridabad Model School, Sector 31, organised a comprehensive awareness programme on mental wellness for students of Classes IX to XII. The session focused on helping adolescents understand emotional health, develop resilience, and adopt healthy ways to cope with academic and personal challenges.
The interactive seminar was conducted by mental health experts Ms. Aparna Jha and Ms. Shalu, who addressed issues commonly experienced by teenagers, including examination pressure, anxiety, emotional stress, and balancing academic responsibilities with personal life. The experts encouraged students to recognise the early signs of mental distress and highlighted the importance of seeking guidance without hesitation.
Students actively participated in discussions, interactive exercises, and a question-and-answer session, where they shared their thoughts and received practical advice on maintaining emotional stability. The speakers also explained simple techniques for stress management, positive thinking, and building self-confidence to face everyday challenges effectively.
Academic Director Ms. Shashi Bala appreciated the initiative, stating that nurturing students’ mental and emotional health is an essential part of quality education. She emphasised that schools play a significant role in creating a supportive atmosphere where students feel safe, valued, and confident to express themselves.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, as students left the session with greater awareness of mental health, improved coping strategies, and a deeper understanding of the importance of emotional well-being in leading a balanced and successful life.
