The day serves as a reminder of the sacrifices made by police personnel across the country and recognises those who continue to serve amid challenging and often dangerous circumstances.
Through the annual observance, the police fraternity renews its commitment to the values of courage, duty, integrity and service to the nation, while remembering all personnel who laid down their lives during the preceding year.
