DAV Public School NTPC, Faridabad Celebrated Ramayana Utsav and ‘Guru Vandan Chhatra Abhinandan’ Ceremony with Grandeur

Faridabad :DAV Public School, NTPC Faridabad, organised a grand Ramayana Utsav and Guru Vandan Chhatra Abhinandan ceremony in collaboration with Bharat Vikas Parishad, Vivekanand Shakha, Greater Faridabad on October 17, 2026, celebrating the richness of Indian culture, traditional values, and the revered Guru-Shishya tradition. The occasion was graced by distinguished dignitaries from Bharat Vikas Parishad, including Mr Yogesh Kumar Bansal, Branch President, Mr D. S. Tyagi, Service Coordinator, Haryana Dakshin Prant Sewa conveyer Mrs Prita Ahuja, Secretary, Mrs Agam Taneja, Sanskar Sanyojak and Mrs Ruchi Bansal, Mahila Sehbhagita along with other eminent members of the Parishad. The Principal, Mrs Alka Arora, extended a warm welcome to the esteemed guests by presenting them with saplings, symbolising environmental consciousness and the importance of nurturing nature. A significant highlight of the event was the Guru Vandan Chhatra Abhinandan initiative, which acknowledged the invaluable contribution of teachers and celebrated the achievements of meritorious students. Principal, Mrs Alka Arora, was also felicitated in recognition of her contribution to education. The ceremony reinforced the sanctity of the teacher-student relationship and emphasised the importance of discipline, humility, integrity and dedication in shaping responsible individuals. The Ramayana Utsav added a spiritual and cultural dimension to the celebration, as students brought significant episodes from the life of Lord Rama to life through captivating theatrical performances and aesthetically presented tableaux. Their splendid costumes, expressive enactments, impactful dialogues and impressive stage presentation created a spiritually uplifting atmosphere, conveying the timeless ideals of righteousness, truth, sacrifice, duty, familial affection and adherence to Dharma. The Inter-House Ramayana Competition, organised for students of Classes III to XII emerged as another major attraction of the event. Students representing the four houses—Rigveda, Yajurveda, Samveda, and Atharvaveda—presented various episodes from the epic with remarkable confidence, creativity, and dramatic expression, showcasing the richness of Indian cultural heritage and the enduring relevance of its moral teachings. The enthusiastic participation, meticulous preparation and commendable acting skills of the students received widespread appreciation from the distinguished guests and the audience. The contributions of Anmol Singh, Archana, Vrishti Tewatia, Chaitanya Yadav, Lakshya, Naitik Roshan, Rishabh Adhana, Kunal, Krit Dixit, Rihani, Mayank
and Diksha Agrawal were particularly highlighted, adding to the vibrancy and success of the celebration. Addressing the gathering, the Principal, Mrs Alka Arora, expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the dignitaries and members of Bharat Vikas Parishad for their gracious presence and valuable support. She emphasised that such initiatives play a pivotal role in connecting students with India’s glorious cultural heritage while nurturing moral values, leadership qualities, self-confidence, and social responsibility.
