RJD RS MP Sanjay Yadav Accuses Modi Govt of Failing Students, Seeks Education Minister’s Resignation

New Delhi: Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Yadav on Wednesday accused the Narendra Modi-led government of failing to protect the interests of students amid the ongoing examination controversy. Demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, he alleged that repeated paper leaks, recruitment irregularities and the police action against protesting students reflected administrative failure and a lack of accountability.

MP Sanjay Yadav said the government had responded to students’ concerns with police action instead of meaningful dialogue, undermining the credibility of the examination system and putting the future of millions of aspirants at risk. Holding the Education Ministry morally responsible for the crisis, he said public confidence in competitive examinations could only be restored through accountability and transparent reforms.

Raising the issue in the Rajya Sabha, RJD MP submitted a notice under Rule 267 seeking suspension of the listed business to allow an immediate discussion on the alleged paper leaks, examination irregularities and police action against student protesters. He said the matter directly concerns the future of millions of students and warrants urgent parliamentary intervention.

MP Sanjay Yadav reiterated his demand for a transparent investigation into the examination controversy, protection of students’ democratic rights and comprehensive reforms to restore the credibility of the country’s competitive examination system.
