CJP’s ‘Chalo Sansad’ March Begins as Centre Initiates Dialogue

New Delhi: The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) launched its much-anticipated ‘Chalo Sansad‘ march on Monday even as the Centre initiated efforts to open a dialogue with the organisation over its demands.

Ahead of the march towards Parliament, the Union Government reportedly reached out to the protest group in an attempt to begin discussions and defuse tensions. However, CJP leaders maintained that they would not hold talks with lower-ranking officials and instead sought a meeting with either the Prime Minister or a senior Cabinet Minister.

According to the organisation, proposals for meetings with the District Magistrate, a Union Government Secretary and a Minister of State were declined, with the group reiterating that only high-level political engagement would be acceptable for resolving the issues raised during the protest.

The Parliament march comes amid heightened security arrangements across central Delhi, with police deploying additional personnel and placing barricades at key locations to manage crowds and maintain law and order. Traffic restrictions and security checks were also intensified around the Parliament complex.

The CJP has been leading demonstrations over issues related to the education system and governance, with supporters gathering from different parts of the country to participate in the march. The protest has drawn national attention as Parliament’s Monsoon Session gets underway.

Government officials have not ruled out further discussions, indicating that communication channels remain open. Meanwhile, the protest organisers have stated that their movement will continue until meaningful dialogue takes place with the highest levels of the government.
