A promo from the upcoming episode has triggered criticism on social media, with several viewers questioning Harshad Chopda's conduct during an argument with fellow contestant Shreya Kalra.

New Delhi: The latest promo of Lock Upp Season 2 has sparked fresh controversy after actor Harshad Chopda was seen making an offensive gesture during a heated exchange with co-contestant Shreya Kalra. The clip has gone viral on social media, leading to widespread criticism from viewers, with many demanding strict action against the actor.

The dispute unfolded after the contestants were divided into two rival groups led by Shivangi Joshi and Akanksha Chamola. During the upcoming task sequence, an argument reportedly began over dining arrangements. Shreya preferred eating separately, while Shivangi insisted that all members eat together as a team.

As the disagreement escalated, Harshad intervened and supported Shivangi’s stand, asking Shreya to follow the group leader’s instructions. Shreya objected to his involvement, following which Harshad appeared to lose his temper and made an objectionable hand gesture before walking away from the scene.

Soon after the promo was released, clips from the episode began circulating across social media platforms, especially Reddit, where many users criticised Harshad’s behaviour. Several viewers described his conduct as immature and inappropriate, while others called for his eviction from the reality show. Some users also expressed disappointment, saying they had admired the actor’s work in the past but were unhappy with his behaviour inside the house.

This is not the first confrontation between Harshad and Shreya in the competition. Since the opening week, the two contestants have frequently clashed over various issues. In an earlier episode, Harshad had accused Shreya of attempting to influence him, while another recent incident saw him aggressively confronting her during an emotional argument involving Shivangi Joshi, which also drew criticism online.

Hosted by Riteish Deshmukh and Farah Khan, Lock Upp Season 2 continues to feature high-voltage drama inside its jail-themed house. Contestants compete in challenging tasks while navigating conflicts, alliances and eliminations. The show is currently streaming on Netflix, with new episodes released from Saturday to Thursday at 8 pm.
