Faridabad, April 6, 2026: Chairman Rishipal Chauhan led the grand premiere of the Haryanvi film Saangi was organised with great enthusiasm at Jiva Public School, attracting cinema lovers and cultural enthusiasts. The event turned into a memorable celebration of regional storytelling and artistic expression.

The film presents a vivid depiction of Haryana’s rural life, highlighting its traditions, emotions, and cultural richness. Using the traditional folk theatre form Saang, it combines music, dance, and narrative to showcase the essence of village life while delivering a strong message about friendship and human values.

At a time when such traditional art forms are gradually fading, Saangi makes a meaningful effort to revive and preserve them. The story sensitively portrays the struggles of Saang artists and aims to restore recognition and respect for this cultural heritage.

Set against a rural backdrop, the film uses authentic dialect and customs to create a deep connection with the audience. It reflects themes of brotherhood and belonging, encouraging people to reconnect with their roots in a rapidly modernising world.

A major highlight of the film is the acting debut of Asha Hooda at the age of 75. Her journey serves as an inspiring reminder that age is never a barrier to achieving one’s dreams. She is the mother of noted actor Randeep Hooda.

The filmmakers aim to take Saangi to a wider audience and bring greater recognition to Haryanvi cinema. The film not only entertains but also instils pride in cultural identity and heritage.
