First Goods Train Rolls Out from Nangal Chaudhary Logistics Hub

Narnaul, August 23, 2026; Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Saturday inaugurated a major milestone in the development of the state’s logistics infrastructure by flagging off the first goods train from the newly developed rail yard at the Integrated Multi Modal Logistics Hub (IMLH) in Nangal Chaudhary, Mahendragarh district.

The commencement of rail freight operations marks a significant step towards establishing Nangal Chaudhary as a key transportation and commercial centre in northern India. The facility is being developed to provide integrated connectivity between rail, road and other modes of freight movement.

Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Saini said the project reflects the Centre’s broader objective of strengthening infrastructure and accelerating economic development under the vision of a developed India.

He said the expansion of transport infrastructure would create favourable conditions for industries and private investment in the region. According to the Chief Minister, the availability of modern logistics facilities and improved connectivity would help businesses reduce transportation challenges and support the growth of local economic activity.

Saini also highlighted Haryana’s expanding road network, stating that all districts of the state are now connected through major highways, four-lane roads, expressways or greenfield expressways. He said improved road and rail connectivity would further strengthen the state’s position as a preferred destination for manufacturing and logistics-related activities.

The IMLH at Nangal Chaudhary, located near Narnaul, is being developed as a large-scale freight and logistics centre. The project is expected to support industrial expansion, improve cargo movement and generate new economic opportunities in the surrounding region.

The state government is also working to accelerate land-related and infrastructure development associated with the logistics hub. Completion of the first phase is expected to provide the foundation for subsequent expansion under Phase-II.

The development forms part of Haryana’s wider strategy to build an integrated industrial and logistics ecosystem. Alongside the Nangal Chaudhary project, the state is advancing other major industrial initiatives, including the Integrated Manufacturing Cluster in Hisar.
