Hyderabad, August 23, 2026; A pre-release gathering for actor Yash’s upcoming film ‘Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups’ turned chaotic in Hyderabad after a speaker structure collapsed, injuring several people at the venue.

The incident occurred at Malla Reddy Group of Institutions in Medchal-Malkajgiri district, where a large crowd had assembled for the promotional event. According to Cyberabad Police, some attendees climbed onto a flying DJ speaker structure during the programme, reportedly attempting to get a better view of the stage.

Police said that some people were also performing stunts on the structure when it became unstable and collapsed. Several attendees reportedly fell from a height and sustained injuries. They were subsequently shifted to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.

Videos of the incident, recorded by people present at the venue, later circulated on social media.

Meanwhile, the trailer of ‘Toxic’ was unveiled earlier this month. Directed as a gangster drama, the film explores power, love, betrayal and redemption while portraying the bond between Raya and his son, Ticket.

The movie features Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Tara Sutaria, Rukmini Vasanth and Huma Qureshi in prominent roles. Backed by KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations, ‘Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups’ is slated for a worldwide theatrical release on August 26.
