New Delhi, August 23, 2026; Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini is leading a two-day investment promotion visit to Mumbai on August 23 and 24, aimed at attracting fresh investments and building momentum for the Happening Haryana Global Investors Summit planned for April 2027.
The delegation includes Haryana Industry and Commerce Minister Rao Narbir Singh, Commissioner and Secretary of Industry and Commerce Amit Kumar Agrawal and senior government officials. The outreach programme is focused on engaging major corporate groups, investors and industry representatives and presenting Haryana as a preferred destination for large-scale projects.
The Mumbai programme will include interactions with the diaspora, an Investors Meet, discussions with private equity and venture capital representatives and individual meetings between the Chief Minister and leading business executives.
During the Investors Meet, the state government will present its key economic strengths, sector-specific policies and the plans for the upcoming Happening Haryana Global Investors Summit 2.0. Business leaders are also expected to share their perspectives, with MoU exchanges forming part of the programme.
The Haryana delegation is particularly seeking investments in emerging and high-growth sectors such as electric mobility, semiconductors, data centres, artificial intelligence, pharmaceuticals, Global Capability Centres and renewable energy.
Officials will also underline Haryana’s proximity to the national capital and its extensive connectivity network. Around 57 per cent of the state’s geographical area falls within the National Capital Region, providing access to major road, railway, aviation and logistics infrastructure.
The state government is also promoting its digital single-window clearance mechanism and sector-specific policies designed to simplify approvals and facilitate faster implementation of industrial projects.
Chief Minister Saini said Haryana’s industrial landscape is undergoing a major transformation, supported by 11 recently introduced sectoral policies. He added that investment intentions exceeding Rs 1.10 lakh crore have already been received by the state.
The Mumbai outreach is intended to take these initial expressions of interest towards firm investment proposals, strategic collaborations and employment-generating projects. The government is also seeking stronger institutional partnerships to support innovation and accelerate industrial development in Haryana.
The engagement in Mumbai is expected to serve as an important step towards building investor confidence and preparing the state for the Happening Haryana Global Investors Summit in 2027.
