K-pop Star Aoora Meets South Korean President at Rashtrapati Bhavan Calls It a Proud Cultural Moment

Singer Aoora shares his experience of greeting South Korea’s President in Hindi during a high-profile state banquet hosted in New Delhi.

New Delhi- K-pop artist Aoora described his recent meeting with South Korean President Lee Jae-myung at Rashtrapati Bhavan as a deeply meaningful moment, highlighting the growing cultural connection between India and South Korea. The interaction took place during a state banquet hosted by Indian President Droupadi Murmu in honour of the visiting leader and First Lady Kim Hea-kyung.

Sharing his experience, Aoora said the meeting symbolised recognition of his efforts to build a cultural bridge through music. He noted that despite the brief interaction, it carried significant emotional value, especially when he greeted the South Korean President in Hindi, receiving a warm response in return.

The event was part of the South Korean President’s three-day state visit to India, aimed at strengthening bilateral ties. Aoora described the banquet as a grand and highly formal occasion, reflecting the importance of diplomatic and cultural exchanges between the two nations.

The singer, who gained popularity in India after appearing on Bigg Boss 17 hosted by Salman Khan, said the experience reinforced his belief in music as a universal language that transcends borders. He added that such moments motivate him to continue promoting cross-cultural collaboration.

Aoora also recalled meeting Member of Parliament Shashi Tharoor at the event, describing him as warm and inspiring. A photograph of the two later surfaced online, capturing a light-hearted moment following the formal proceedings.

Reflecting on his journey, the artist said his stint on Indian television helped him connect with a wider audience, but his current focus remains on music and fostering deeper cultural ties between the two countries.
