Kurukshetra (Haryana), May 20, 2024- During his campaign in Haryana, BJP’s prominent campaigner and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched a sharp critique of Congress policies.
At a ‘Vijay Sankalp’ rally held at New Anaj Mandi in support of Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Naveen Jindal for the Kurukshetra Lok Sabha seat, Yogi paid homage to the land of Kurukshetra.
He urged the crowd to press the button for the lotus symbol, endorsing the slogan ‘Abki Baar 400 Paar’ and ‘Fir Ek Baar Modi Sarkar.’
The Chief Minister highlighted Ayodhya, saying, “We have transformed Ayodhya by remaining vigilant throughout the night.”
He emphasized that this was the first government in independent India to honour faith.
Targeting the opposition, Yogi stated, “No enemy can infiltrate our borders now. There are no more terrorist bombings. Previously, innocent people were killed in explosions in every district, region, and state. During the Congress rule, mornings were marked by scams and evenings by major terrorist incidents.”
He added, “However, India has now demonstrated its strength to the world through surgical strikes and airstrikes. We support peace and harmony, but peace is achieved through demonstration of strength, and not by issuing empty thteats.”
CM Yogi also criticized the Aam Aadmi Party, saying, “They start and end their day with lies.”
He recalled Anna Hazare’s movement against Congress corruption and said, “The AAP was founded to combat this. Yet, the AAP has now allied with the same Congress to plunder the nation. They have ruined the nation’s capital, Delhi, and seek to abandon values and ideals, fostering anarchy and exploiting the country’s resources for political gain.”
Yogi remarked that in the past, Uttar Pradesh, with its population of 25 crores, had a weak government and was dominated by the mafia, which operated a parallel regime. CM Yogi stated, “Today, we have eradicated all criminals and mafia elements from the state. In UP, there is no place for them except a path to ‘hell’ for those who threaten the safety of businessmen and daughters.”
CM Yogi added, “Elections are being held Today for 14 seats in UP. I am confident we will win all these seats, so I am campaigning in Haryana. The people respond positively thanks to God’s grace, Modi’s leadership, and our on-ground efforts.”
The Chief Minister criticized the Aam Aadmi Party, stating, “Gangsters in Punjab are rising and reigniting gang wars, leading to a worsening of situation according to the residents.”
He urged the people to give the BJP a chance in Punjab, promising to eliminate the mafia. He mentioned that these individuals had brought a major UP mafia figure to Punjab, but he fought till the Supreme Court to bring the mafia back to UP. Now, that mafia leader has already embarked on his eternal journey of ‘Ram Naam Satya’, he remarked.
Yogi lashed out at the Indi Alliance and said, “For them, elections are merely a means to acquire power. The actions of all the coalition’s members are questionable. The Aam Aadmi Party is embroiled in internal conflicts in Punjab. The RJD in Bihar, the SP in UP, and their partners in Maharashtra and the South lack loyalty to India. Instead, they follow a policy of divide and rule.”
Taking a strong critique at the Congress, CM Yogi stated, “Rahul Gandhi, through his manifesto, plans to impose an ‘inheritance tax’ by conducting property surveys, claiming it will alleviate poverty. This suggests that they intend to seize your property and that of your ancestors to give it to Rohingya Muslims from Bangladesh, Pakistan, and Myanmar. They oppose the CAA, which aims to grant citizenship to persecuted Hindus, Sikhs, Buddhists, Jains, and Parsis from Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan. Both Congress and AAP are against providing citizenship to these refugees.”
The Chief Minister said, “Aurangzeb, the cruel Mughal emperor, used to provide his father Shahjahan with only a pot of water per day”, adding that the spirit of Aurangzeb has entered the Indi alliance.”
The CM suggested visiting Patna’s Khudabaksh Library to read Shahjahan’s biography, where Shahjahan cursed Aurangzeb by saying, “Hindus are better, as they respect their ancestors in life and perform Shraddha rituals after death.”
He compared Congress’s proposed ‘inheritance tax’ to Aurangzeb’s ‘Jizya tax’, where people were forced to either pay the tax or convert to Islam. He urged that the spirit of Aurangzeb should not persist in independent India, and thus, the alliance between AAP and Congress should be ended.
The Chief Minister stated, “The tricolor is proudly flying at Brahma Sarovar. Before becoming an MP, Naveen Jindal fought all the way to the Supreme Court for the right to wear the tricolour with pride in his pocket and at home.”
CM Yogi added, “Indians should have the right to display the national symbol, which represents the honour and dignity of India so that we can proudly say we are Indians. His fight for the national symbol was commendable.”
He added, “When India celebrated 75 years of independence, Prime Minister Modi ensured the tricolor was hoisted at every house, but Naveen Jindal initiated this campaign in 2004 and achieved victory. Additionally, Jindal’s family is contributing to the beautification of Baba Vishwanath Dham and the ghats there.”
The Chief Minister paid tribute to the land of Kurukshetra, emphasizing its historical significance, and said, “This land has symbolized the triumph of righteousness over unrighteousness, justice over injustice, and truth over falsehood for five thousand years. Kurukshetra is a sacred place, likely the only one where two armies regard the battlefield as a holy land.”
He added, “This unique perspective is found only in India, specifically in Kurukshetra.”
He predicted that the results on June 4 would also convey the message of “Satyamev Jayate” (Truth Alone Triumphs). Drawing inspiration from Lord Krishna’s counsel given five thousand years ago, he announced his intention to visit Mathura, declaring that the waits for Ayodhya and Kashi are over, and now it is Mathura’s turn.
Kurukshetra, where Lord Krishna delivered the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita, is a land of divine knowledge in India.
In the public meeting, former MP and Lok Sabha candidate of Bharatiya Janata Party Naveen Jindal, Haryana Minister Subhash Sudha, BJP State General Secretary Archana Gupta, MLA Leela Ram Gurjar, Kamlesh Dhanda, Sandeep Singh, former Minister Krishna Bedi, Kurukshetra District President Ravi Batan, Kaithal District President Ashok. Gurjar, Lok Sabha in-charge Kanwarpal Gurjar etc. were present.
