Sonam Wangchuk Hospital Discharge is scheduled for Monday after doctors confirmed that the noted environmentalist and education reformer has recovered sufficiently to leave the hospital. Before returning to Ladakh, Wangchuk will visit Rajghat in New Delhi to pay tribute to Mahatma Gandhi, according to members of his team.
Before heading back to his home in Ladakh, Wangchuk is scheduled to visit Rajghat in New Delhi to pay floral tributes to Mahatma Gandhi. The visit is intended as a symbolic gesture of respect for Gandhi’s ideals of peace, truth and non-violence.
After the brief stop at Rajghat, Wangchuk will travel to Ladakh, where he is expected to resume his public engagements and continue his advocacy on environmental conservation, sustainable development and the protection of the Himalayan region.
His supporters and well-wishers have welcomed the news of his recovery and are looking forward to his return to public life after his hospital stay.
