SS Banga, CMD of Victora Industries Pvt. Ltd. and environmentalist started “Selfie with Plantation” initiative under PM Modi’s “Ek Ped Maa ke Naam” campaign.

“Nature is the essence of our existence, and its conservation is a collective responsibility we must embrace for a better future”, says environmentalist SS Banga.

Faridabad July 29 2024 : Every year, on July 28, people around the world celebrates World Nature Conservation Day as one of the greatest ways to care for and protect our planet. This day serves as a reminder of the crucial importance of conserving the planet’s natural resources and recognizing the efforts and successes of those who save nature every day. The importance of this day has increased even more in the era of climate change, which reminds us to be sensitive towards our social duties.

Joining the hands in conserving the nature, SS Banga, CMD of Victora Industries Pvt. Ltd. and environmentalist took an initiative of aware people towards conservation of nature through his organization Victora L.I.F.E. Foundation. Through this foundation, he started “Selfie with Plantation” initiative in Faridabad under the campaign “Ek Ped Maa ke Naam” launched by PM Narendra Modi on World Environment Day and has garnered significant participation, with government and social organizations coming forward for extensive tree planting. and conservation efforts. On this initiative, he addressed that we must understand that nature is the essence of our existence and life cannot be imagined without nature. Nature, like a true mother, never harms us, rather, nurtures us. Ultimately, we must focus on its conservation, recognizing it as a collective responsibility rather than an individual responsibility. He also expressed his happiness towards the organizations which played a vital role in raising awareness among people.

Along with this, he talked about Atharva Veda that states that the Earth is our mother and we are her children. Embracing this belief, our ancestors began worshiping nature as a deity thousands of years ago. The tradition of celebrating and worshiping nature has been an integral part of Indian culture for centuries. As the saying goes, “The creation made by the hands of man is called a work of art, and the creation made by the hands of God is called nature.” The five elements, earth (Bha), sky (Ga), air (Va), fire (A), and water (Na) are our gods, the Panchamahabhuta or Panch Tatva. The more we protect nature, the more it gives us in return, this is the law of nature. As the saying goes, “Prakriti Rakshati Rakshitah”, nature protects those who protect it. He also added that PM Narendra Modi rightly says, “This is the time, the right time, let us all take a pledge to plant as many trees as possible this monsoon and commit ourselves to their long term care and protection. By doing so we can ensure harmonious co-existence with nature and a better future for the generations to come.
