Mainpuri Gets ₹682 Crore Development Push as CM Yogi Unveils 111 Public Projects

Infrastructure, education, roads, drinking water, and welfare schemes receive a major boost across the district

Mainpuri, Sun 26 July 2026: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday announced a major development package for Mainpuri by inaugurating and laying the foundation stones for 111 projects with a combined investment of ₹682 crore. The initiatives are aimed at strengthening public infrastructure, improving civic amenities, and enhancing welfare services across the district.

During the programme, the Chief Minister also handed over certificates and benefits to 19 beneficiaries under various state and central government welfare schemes, reaffirming the government’s focus on inclusive development.

Addressing a public gathering, Yogi Adityanath said the state government is working to ensure balanced growth in every region, with special attention to Mainpuri and Karhal. He said the newly launched projects would improve essential services, expand infrastructure, and create better opportunities for local residents.

Highlighting Uttar Pradesh‘s economic progress, the Chief Minister said the state has moved beyond its earlier challenges and is now counted among the country’s leading economies. He attributed this transformation to sustained investment in infrastructure, effective governance, and a stronger law-and-order framework.

The Chief Minister outlined several ongoing initiatives in Mainpuri, including road development, drinking water supply projects, heritage conservation, museum construction, and temple restoration. He also praised the district’s traditional Tarkashi handicraft, saying it has earned wider recognition and reflects the region’s rich cultural heritage.

Speaking about welfare measures, Yogi Adityanath said farmers are benefiting from free electricity for agricultural tube wells and financial assistance under the PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme. He also inaugurated a modern government model school that will provide education from Class 1 to Class 12 with improved facilities.

Among the major infrastructure projects announced was the ₹292 crore expansion of the Shikohabad-Bhogaon road, which is expected to significantly improve transportation and connectivity between Mainpuri, Karhal, and nearby areas.

The Chief Minister also said that Uttar Pradesh has witnessed significant improvements in public safety due to stricter policing and better governance. Referring to the ongoing Kanwar Yatra, he said extensive administrative arrangements have ensured the smooth conduct of the annual pilgrimage.

The event was attended by public representatives, senior government officials, and a large number of local residents, with the state government describing the development package as an important milestone in accelerating Mainpuri’s growth and improving public services.
