Moscow/New Delhi, July 9 , 2024 : Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday evening left Moscow for Austria, the next stop of his two-nation visit. He will be the first Indian prime minister in over 40 years to pay a stand-alone visit to Austria. The MEA spokesperson in a post on X said: “PM @narendramodi wraps up a successful visit to Russia, forging stronger partnership between the two countries. “Next stop Austria.” Earlier, PM Modi said of his deliberations in Moscow: “Held productive discussions with President Putin at the Kremlin today.
Our talks covered ways to diversify India-Russia cooperation in sectors such as trade, commerce, security, agriculture, technology and innovation. We attach great importance to boosting connectivity and people-topeople exchanges.” He also said he was honoured to receive Russia’s highest civilian award. “Honoured to receive The Order of Saint Andrew the Apostle. I thank the Russian Government for conferring the award. “This award is dedicated to my fellow 140 crore Indians.”
