Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath Highlights Agricultural Growth Pushes Land is Lab Approach

Chief Minister says scientific innovation and farmer collaboration driving progress in agriculture sector

Lucknow, April 24, 2026: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath highlighted significant progress in the agriculture sector and said that the traditional approach has evolved with the concept of taking laboratories directly to the fields, ensuring better coordination between science and farming practices.

He emphasised that the state has witnessed notable improvement in agricultural growth due to policy interventions, better resource utilisation, and adoption of modern techniques. Over the years, the agriculture growth rate has increased substantially, reflecting the impact of sustained government efforts.

The Chief Minister underlined the importance of integrating scientific research with field level practices, stating that agriculture should move beyond the earlier model and transform into a system where farms themselves act as centres of innovation.

He noted that the use of advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence, drones, and digital platforms is helping farmers improve productivity, manage crops efficiently, and enhance income levels.

Officials stated that this approach aims to strengthen self reliance in agriculture while ensuring sustainability, profitability, and long term growth for farmers across the state.
