Chief Minister Directs Faster Resolution of Public Grievances, Strengthening of Chief Minister Helpline, and Time-Bound Disposal of Revenue Cases

Raipur, May 31, 2026– Chief Minister  Vishnu Deo Sai chaired a divisional-level review meeting at the District Panchayat Auditorium in Bemetara on May 31. He said that the true measure of governance lies in its sensitivity, accountability and commitment towards citizens. He stressed that officials should not only listen to public grievances but also ensure their prompt and effective resolution so that people are not forced to make repeated visits to government offices.

Chief Minister stated that the state government’s objective is not merely to formulate schemes but to ensure that their benefits reach the last person in society. He emphasised the need for an administration that is more proactive, result-oriented and citizen-centric.

Collectors, SPs, and senior administrative officials from Bemetara, Durg, Rajnandgaon, Kabirdham, and Khairagarh-Chhuikhadan-Gandai districts attended the meeting. Development projects, welfare programmes, law and order, and administrative performance were reviewed in detail. Officials from other districts also joined the meeting through video conferencing to provide updates on the progress of various schemes.

Chief Minister  Sai stated that good governance becomes meaningful only when citizens do not have to struggle to get their problems resolved. He directed officials to treat public service as their highest priority and ensure the serious and timely disposal of every complaint, application and grievance. He stated that sensitivity and accountability towards citizens are the soul of the administrative system and that resolving public issues is not only an official duty but also a moral responsibility.

Focus on Making the Chief Minister Helpline a Strong and Trusted Platform

The Chief Minister stated that the state government is developing the Chief Minister Helpline as a strong, effective and reliable platform through which citizens can easily register their complaints. He said grievances received through the helpline would be monitored at the highest level to ensure accountability and timely resolution.

He added that the Chief Minister Helpline would serve as a powerful bridge between the administration and the public, ensuring that government schemes and services reach the last beneficiary without obstacles.

Strict Directions for Timely Disposal of Revenue Cases

During the review meeting, Chief Minister Shru Sai accorded special priority to revenue-related matters and directed officials to launch a special campaign to dispose of cases pending beyond the prescribed time limit, particularly those pending for more than one year.

He said that matters such as mutation, partition, land demarcation and correction of land records are directly linked to citizens’ rights and livelihoods, and negligence in such cases would not be tolerated. The Chief Minister also directed strict action against patwaris and concerned personnel found responsible for errors in revenue records or deliberate irregularities.

Review of Sushashan Tihar, Drinking Water Supply and Health Preparedness

The Chief Minister said that the Sushasan Tihar organised across the state has strengthened communication between the government and citizens and accelerated the delivery of benefits under various schemes. He instructed officials to ensure the sensitive and effective resolution of every complaint and application received during the programme.

Reviewing the drinking water situation in view of the summer season, he directed all districts to ensure adequate and regular water supply to citizens. He also stressed the need for the Health Department to make preparations to tackle seasonal diseases that may arise during the monsoon period, including ensuring the availability of medicines, medical teams, and essential resources.

Special Focus on Fuel Availability, Kharif Preparations and Farmers’ Welfare

Referring to the appeal made by Prime Minister  Narendra Modi, the Chief Minister highlighted the importance of the judicious use of diesel and petrol. He clarified that there is sufficient fuel in the state and that there is no shortage.

Chief Minister Sai directed officials to take strict action against individuals spreading rumours regarding fuel shortages.

Reviewing preparations for the upcoming Kharif season, he sought detailed information regarding the availability, storage and distribution of fertilisers and seeds. He instructed officials to ensure the timely and adequate supply of agricultural inputs to farmers. Considering the limited availability of DAP fertiliser, he emphasised raising awareness among farmers about alternative fertilisers such as SSP, urea, nano urea and nano DAP.

Review of Drone Didi, Housing, Health and Energy Schemes

During a review of initiatives related to women’s empowerment, the Chief Minister directed officials to increase the number of “Drone Didis” across the state. He said women should be provided with modern technical training and financial support to enhance self-reliance, promote technological innovation in agriculture and increase their incomes.

The meeting also reviewed the implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, Ayushman Bharat Yojana, Jal Jeevan Mission, Bihan Yojana and paddy lifting operations.

Chief Minister  Sai said that greater efforts should be made to maximise the number of beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Yojana to promote energy self-reliance. During the review of the Ayushman Bharat Yojana, he emphasised that issuing health cards alone is not sufficient and that eligible citizens must receive quality healthcare and treatment benefits in practice.

Emphasis on Education Quality, Road Safety and Law and Order

The Chief Minister stressed the need for concrete measures to improve the quality of education by enhancing learning outcomes, strengthening regular monitoring and encouraging innovative teaching methods in schools.

He also reviewed road safety measures, policing arrangements and the implementation of the three new criminal laws enacted in the country. He directed officials to strengthen law and order further and ensure effective enforcement of legal provisions.

Concluding the meeting, Chief Minister  Vishnu Deo Sai called upon all departments to work with better coordination, clear goals and a culture of accountability. He said that dedicated and coordinated efforts by officials can help establish Chhattisgarh among the leading and most developed states of the country.

Deputy Chief Minister  Arun Sao attended the meeting, Food Minister Dayal Das Baghel, Member of Parliament Vijay Baghel, MLA  Ishwar Sahu, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Subodh Kumar Singh, Durg Divisional Commissioner Satyanarayan Rathore, Inspector General of Police  Abhishek Shandilya, and concerned officials were present.
