New Delhi : Delhi Police continued its ‘Thana Divas–Jansunwai’ initiative by conducting weekly public hearing sessions at police stations across all 15 police districts of Delhi on Saturday.

During the latest round of hearings, a total of 1,489 complaints and grievances were taken up. Despite incessant rains and inclement weather, the initiative witnessed enthusiastic participation from members of the public. Necessary arrangements were made at the venues to ensure that citizens could participate in the proceedings without inconvenience.

The initiative provides complainants and local residents with a direct platform to present their grievances, concerns and suggestions. The matters raised were heard attentively and necessary directions were issued for appropriate action.

Senior officers attended the Jansunwai programmes and heard the complainants to ensure that their grievances were addressed at the appropriate level and followed up effectively.

Launched in June 2026 pursuant to the directions of the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Delhi, Sardar Taranjit Singh Sandhu, the ‘Thana Divas–Jansunwai’ initiative, under the leadership of Sh. Anurag Kumar, Commissioner of Police, Delhi, provides citizens a direct forum to raise their complaints and grievances every Saturday from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, with the aim of strengthening public outreach and ensuring prompt grievance redressal.
