New Delhi, Jan 31,2025: President Droupadi Murmu, in her address to the joint session of Parliament on Friday, highlighted the significant achievements of the NDA government, emphasizing the remarkable resilience and stability of the Indian economy, even in the face of global challenges like the COVID-19 pandemic and ongoing geopolitical tensions. She underscored that India’s ability to navigate these crises is a testament to the strength of its economic foundations.

President Murmu noted that India’s economic growth has continued on a positive trajectory despite the disruptions caused by the global pandemic and the geopolitical uncertainties stemming from ongoing conflicts. The nation’s economic recovery has been swift, marking India’s strength in times of adversity. She praised the country’s ability to maintain stability while fostering growth and innovation, reinforcing India’s position as a key global player.

A key focus of the President’s address was India’s growing dominance in the digital technology sector. She emphasized that India is making significant strides in this field, with the successful rollout of 5G services across the country. This achievement, she pointed out, places India alongside other major global players in the digital sphere and is a symbol of the country’s technological advancements.

President Murmu also highlighted the impressive infrastructure development in the country, specifically the expansion of India’s metro network. She proudly stated that India’s metro network has now crossed the 1,000-kilometer mark, making it the largest metro network in the world. This achievement is a testament to the government’s commitment to modernizing urban infrastructure and improving public transportation systems.

In addition, the President spoke about the completion of the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link project, which now connects the northern region of Jammu and Kashmir to the rest of the country. This rail link, she noted, will help in seamlessly connecting the country from Kashmir in the north to Kanyakumari in the south, facilitating greater connectivity and economic integration.

Focusing on youth, President Murmu highlighted the government’s efforts to improve education and create new employment opportunities for India’s young population. By prioritizing education and skill development, the government aims to empower youth and provide them with the tools to succeed in a rapidly changing global economy.

President Murmu’s speech was a comprehensive reflection of India’s achievements, resilience, and future aspirations on the global stage.
