Himachal Pradesh, 9 May, 2024:Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Youth and Sports Affairs, Shri Anurag Singh Thakur, highlighted the concerning state of the Congress party’s campaign, emphasising its inability to showcase any substantial achievements over the past 15 months. Instead, Congress faces disillusionment among its workers due to its history of unfulfilled promises, resulting in public resentment.
Shri Anurag Singh Thakur underscored the negative tactics employed by Congress, including baseless accusations, misinformation, fearmongering, and divisive strategies, contrasting sharply with the positive momentum of the Modi-led BJP, which is poised for a third consecutive victory.
“After the third phase of voting it is clear that Narendra Modi Ji is going to score a hat-trick of victory. congress’s graph is continuously falling,” Thakur asserted.
He lamented that Congress has nothing to do except cursing BJP and Modi ji.”
Furthermore, Shri Anurag Thakur condemned Congress’s divisive tactics, likening them to colonial-era strategies of divide and rule. He expressed dismay at Congress’s attempts to stoke regional, linguistic, religious, and even racial tensions, deploring their recent remarks targeting individuals based on skin colour, a practice reminiscent of colonial-era prejudices.
Highlighting Congress’s desperate attempts to garner support, Shri Anurag Thakur pointed out their alarming alliances with groups such as the SDPI an off shoot of PFI, known for their anti-national sentiments. He criticised Congress for fielding candidates associated with divisive ideologies and accused them of compromising national security during Congress rule by indulging in defense and procurement irregularities.
In his public addresses, Shri Anurag Thakur urged voters to rally behind the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and secure victories in the upcoming elections, both at the parliamentary and assembly levels. Drawing parallels with the excitement of the IPL season, he called upon voters to hit metaphorical “fours and sixes” in support of Prime Minister Modi and the BJP’s agenda for progress and stability.
The upcoming elections on 1st June represent a crucial opportunity for voters to reaffirm their support for the BJP and its vision for a prosperous and unified India, he said.
