Faridabad, February 1, 2026: Promoting fitness and a healthy lifestyle, Accord Hospital, in collaboration with the Faridabad Triathlon Club (FTC), successfully organized the 4th Accord Faridabad Half Marathon on Sunday. The event began from the Accord Hospital campus in Sector-86 and witnessed enthusiastic participation from runners across Faridabad, Delhi-NCR, and various parts of the country.
The marathon was flagged off by Haryana Sports Minister Gaurav Gautam along with Accord Hospital Chairman Dr. Jitendra Kumar. Adding a vibrant and heartwarming touch to the event, students of Tagore Public School warmly welcomed the runners and dignitaries, cheering with great excitement and spreading positive energy at the venue. Their presence symbolized the involvement of the younger generation in promoting fitness and healthy living.
This year’s marathon theme, “Choose Fitness Over Sickness,” focused on encouraging people to adopt an active lifestyle before health issues arise.
Event Chairman and Head of the Orthopedic Department, Dr. Yuvraj Kumar, said the marathon aims to inspire people of all age groups to make exercise a regular part of their lives. He emphasized that such initiatives help engage youth, senior citizens, and families in maintaining better health.
The marathon featured multiple race categories, including the 21 km Half Marathon, 10 km Run, 5 km Fun Run, and 3 km Run, ensuring participation opportunities for both professional athletes and fitness enthusiasts. Winners in various categories will be awarded cash prizes and trophies.
To ensure the safety and comfort of participants, organizers arranged medical teams, ambulances, refreshment points, and volunteers along the route.
Organizers stated that the marathon was not just a sporting event but a meaningful step toward building a healthier and more fitness-conscious society, with strong community participation making the event a grand success.
