Palwal Police Conduct Door-to-Door Anti-Drug Awareness Drive in Bamnikheda Village

Palwal, July 21: As part of the ongoing “Drug Free India“ campaign, the Palwal Police intensified their anti-drug awareness efforts by conducting a door-to-door campaign in Bamnikheda village. The initiative was carried out under the guidance of Palwal Superintendent of Police Nitish Aggarwal to spread awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse and encourage community participation in making the district drug-free.

The de-addiction team, led by Inspector Rajendra Kumar, interacted with villagers during a survey and highlighted the serious physical, social, and economic consequences of drug addiction. The team emphasized that drug abuse not only destroys an individual’s health but also disrupts families and weakens society, particularly affecting the future of young people.

Addressing the villagers, Inspector Rajendra Kumar urged youth to focus on education, sports, and building a better future while staying away from drugs. He also appealed to residents to remain alert and immediately inform the police about any suspicious activities or individuals involved in drug-related offences.

The awareness drive also covered the growing threat of cybercrime. Villagers were advised not to share personal information, OTPs, passwords, or banking details with unknown callers or through social media. Police informed residents that in case of cyber fraud, they should immediately contact the National Cyber Helpline (1930) so that funds can be frozen during the critical “golden hour.”

In addition, the team educated villagers about road safety, stressing the importance of wearing helmets and seat belts, obeying traffic signals, and following traffic regulations to prevent accidents.

Inspector Rajendra Kumar further appealed to residents to report any antisocial elements, suspicious persons, vehicles, or emergency situations by dialing 112. He also encouraged people to report cases of drug consumption or trafficking through the MANAS Helpline (1933), assuring that the identity of informants would remain strictly confidential.

The villagers appreciated the initiative and collectively pledged to support the “Say Yes to Life, No to Drugs” campaign. They also took an oath to stay away from drugs and cybercrime while contributing towards building a drug-free and safe India.
