Historic 1,100-Metre Flag Yatra in Pali Dham Moves Towards World Record on Nirjala Ekadashi

Mahendragarh, Haryana,26 june: On the auspicious occasion of Nirjala Ekadashi, a grand and historic flag procession, envisioned as the world’s largest religious flag yatra, was organized in memory of the revered ascetic saint, Baba Jayramdas Ji Maharaj, at the sacred Pali Dham. The event was conducted with remarkable devotion, grandeur, discipline, and public participation.
The procession commenced from Balaji Mandir at Rao Tularam Chowk and culminated at Baba Jayramdas Dham, Pali. Thousands of devotees participated enthusiastically in the historic event. Residents of Sisoth, Palri, Bhagadana, and several neighboring villages warmly welcomed the procession and arranged refreshments and drinking water for the devotees throughout the route.
The highlight of the yatra was a magnificent 1,100-metre-long saffron flag, collectively carried on the shoulders of devotees over an approximately seven-kilometre route. The atmosphere resonated with devotional chants of “Balaji Maharaj Ki Jai” and “Baba Jayramdas Ji Maharaj Ki Jai,” creating an inspiring spiritual environment. Demonstrating extraordinary devotion, Milkha Singh and his team from Manheru village in Charkhi Dadri district travelled nearly 56 kilometres to participate in the procession.


Mr. Deshraj Fauji, Sarpanch of Pali village and Convenor of the event, stated that the procession emerged as a remarkable example of religious faith, social harmony, and cultural pride. He informed that all necessary arrangements required for world-record documentation were meticulously undertaken, including scientific measurement of the flag, participant registration, drone and HD video recording, independent witnesses, and extensive media coverage.


He further revealed that an application had already been submitted to the Limca Book of Records, and an official response has been received. All supporting evidence and documentation will be submitted within the next one to two days. Following this, an application will also be submitted to the Guinness World Records for consideration. The organizing committee has already received official communication from the Limca Book of Records regarding the process.


The organizing committee expressed its sincere gratitude to all devotees, volunteers, administrative officials, the police department, health department, fire services, ambulance teams, Public Health Engineering Department, donors, and social organizations for their invaluable support. Special appreciation was extended to the Public Health Department for arranging water sprinkling along the route and to various government departments for their cooperation in ensuring the success of the event.


The committee noted that the successful execution of the procession, with participation from thousands of devotees and exemplary discipline, has become a matter of pride for Mahendragarh district. It expressed confidence that the event would further strengthen the identity and recognition of Pali Dham at both national and international levels.
The chief guest on the occasion was Mahant Shaktinath Ji, head of Siddha Peeth Mata Bhura Bhawani. Distinguished attendees included Mahendragarh MLA Kanwar Singh Yadav, former District Chief Surendra Kaushik, Municipal Chairman Ramesh Saini, former Municipal Chairpersons Reena-Bunty, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh District Sanghchalak Captain Hansraj, Radheshyam Hyderabad, Ved Mohanlal Surajgarh, Sunil Nimbedia, Vijender Seth and Mitra Mandali Satnali, BJP District Minister Thakur Archana Tanwar, Co-District Sanghchalak Ramjeevan Mittal, President of the Ex-Servicemen Welfare Association Captain Ramswaroop Singh, Sandeep Sundaram Trust Malda, and Bhanwar Singh, President of Baba Jayramdas Temple Committee, along with many other dignitaries and prominent citizens.


The programme was presided over by Mr. Deshraj Fauji, Sarpanch of Pali village and Convenor of the event.
Concluding the event, the organizing committee thanked all devotees and supporters, stating that by the blessings of Baba Jayramdas Ji Maharaj and Shri Balaji Maharaj, the historic procession was completed successfully and would continue to inspire the values of unity, service, devotion, and social harmony in the years to come.
