80th Independence Day celebrated at Yamuna Authority with flag hoisting; officials highlight industrial parks, Jewar Airport and 2047 development goals

Greater Noida: The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) celebrated the 80th Independence Day with Chief Executive Officer Rakesh Kumar Singh unfurling the national flag and leading the gathering in paying tribute to the sacrifices made during India’s freedom struggle. Addressing officials and employees, Rakesh Kumar Singh highlighted the authority’s achievements and stressed the need to implement government directives on the ground to contribute to the vision of a developed India by 2047.

CEO outlined YEIDA’s plans for cluster-based industrial parks, including the Medical Device Park, Apparel Park, Toy Park, MSME Park, Handicraft Park, Data Centre Park and Semiconductor Park, highlighting their potential to attract investment and generate economic opportunities.

Additional CEO Shailendra Kumar Bhatia spoke about India’s progress over the past eight decades in healthcare, food security, space science, human development, democracy, defence, computing, artificial intelligence and digital technology. He also highlighted the development potential emerging from Jewar Airport, including opportunities in aviation, MRO and allied industries, as well as electronics manufacturing and semiconductor investments in the EMC.

Additional CEO Rajesh Kumar spoke about the broader meaning of freedom and independence, while Special Officer Shailendra Singh recalled the history of India’s freedom struggle and presented patriotic poems and verses highlighting love for the nation, harmony and humanity.

The event was conducted by General Manager (Finance) Ashok Kumar Singh. CEO Rakesh Kumar Singh and other officials also honoured schoolchildren and teachers who participated in the cultural programme. Senior authority officials, staff members, police personnel, ex-servicemen and other employees attended the celebration.
