New Delhi, August 19, 2026; Cockroach Janta Party founder Abhijeet Dipke has reacted to Union Minister Ramdas Athawale’s recent suggestion that he join the Republican Party of India (A), which is part of the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance.
Athawale had extended the political invitation to Dipke, saying that his association with the Republican Party of India (A) could contribute to strengthening the organisation and advancing the vision associated with Dr BR Ambedkar.
Dipke responded to the proposal through a post on Instagram. Referring to the political criticism he had faced earlier, he questioned the apparent change in tone from his critics.
“Wasn’t I anti-national for you a month ago?” Dipke wrote while sharing a report about Athawale’s offer.
The exchange comes against the backdrop of growing political attention around Dipke and his Cockroach Janta Party. Athawale’s public invitation has now triggered a fresh discussion over whether Dipke could enter the NDA fold through the Republican Party of India (A).
Athawale had specifically urged Dipke to consider joining the party with the stated aim of contributing to society and working towards the ideals of Dr BR Ambedkar.
