Drishyam 3 Worldwide Box Office Day 1: Ajay Devgn Film Nears ₹100 Crore, Scores Career-Best Opening

Drishyam: The Conclusion earns ₹66.75 crore net in India and around ₹95 crore globally on opening day

Mumbai, October 3, 2026: Ajay Devgn-starrer Drishyam: The Conclusion, the third instalment in the popular Drishyam franchise, has recorded a strong opening at the worldwide box office, collecting nearly ₹100 crore on its first day, according to trade figures cited by Hindustan Times.

The film, which released in theatres on October 2, earned ₹66.75 crore net in India, translating to around ₹80.10 crore gross domestically on its opening day. The performance marks the biggest opening of Ajay Devgn’s career, according to the report.

With its overseas earnings added, the film’s worldwide opening-day collection stood at around ₹95 crore, just short of the ₹100-crore mark.

Strong Domestic Opening

Drishyam: The Conclusion had recorded substantial advance bookings ahead of its theatrical release. Advance bookings began on September 27, with the film reportedly crossing ₹50 crore in advance bookings by release day.

The strong advance sales translated into a high opening across the domestic market. The film’s ₹66.75 crore net collection placed it among the biggest opening days recorded by a Hindi film, according to the figures cited in the report.

Overseas, the film reportedly collected more than $1.5 million on its opening day. While its international performance was lower than its domestic showing, the overseas earnings helped push the worldwide total close to the ₹100-crore mark.

Beats Several Pan-India Films

With a reported worldwide opening of around ₹95 crore, Drishyam: The Conclusion also recorded a higher opening than several major pan-India releases cited in the report.

Its first-day collection was reported to be ahead of Rajinikanth’s Jailer, which opened at around ₹91 crore, as well as Salman Khan’s Tiger 3, reported at ₹93 crore. The film also surpassed the reported opening figures of Ram Charan’s Peddi at ₹94 crore and Rishabh Shetty’s Kantara Chapter 1 at ₹88 crore.

The film, however, remained below the ₹100-crore opening-day mark, a milestone achieved by a small number of Hindi films.

Returning Cast and New Additions

Drishyam: The Conclusion brings back Ajay Devgn as Vijay Salgaonkar, along with Tabu, Shriya Saran, Rajat Kapoor, Ishita Dutta, Mrunal Jadhav and Kamlesh Sawant.

The third instalment also features new additions to the franchise, including Jaideep Ahlawat, Prakash Raj and Saurabh Shukla.

Written and directed by Abhishek Pathak, the film released in theatres on October 2. It continues the story of Vijay Salgaonkar and his family, building on the events of the earlier films in the franchise.

With a strong opening day and positive audience response reported by the source, the film now enters its first weekend with its box-office performance set to be closely watched.
