United States: A major explosion at an oil well site in East Texas triggered a large fire and prompted emergency evacuations as authorities responded to a fast-developing incident near the community of Etoile in Nacogdoches County.

Officials said the blast occurred near FM 226, where deputies and multiple emergency crews were dispatched after reports of a fire erupting at the industrial site. First responders moved quickly to secure the area as flames and smoke were seen rising from the location.

Early information from authorities indicated that all workers present at the site were safely accounted for and evacuated following the explosion. No immediate injuries were reported in the initial response.

As a precaution, residents living along County Road 561 were also asked to leave the area while emergency teams assessed possible risks linked to the fire.

Authorities have not yet determined what caused the explosion, and investigations are expected once the fire is brought under control.

The explosion is the latest industrial emergency to raise questions about energy infrastructure safety as officials continue monitoring conditions at the site.
