Rising basketball star AJ Dybantsa recently took part in a visit to the Lindon Utah Temple, joining the ongoing public open house that has drawn visitors from across the region.
The tour was led in part by senior leader Ronald A. Rasband, offering a guided experience of the newly constructed temple before its formal dedication.
The open house allows members of the public to step inside and explore the temple, a significant place of worship for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Such events are typically held before the building is officially consecrated.
Dybantsa’s visit highlighted the intersection of faith, community, and sport—an aspect often associated with the culture surrounding Brigham Young University.
The young athlete was accompanied by his father, Ace Dybantsa, along with key figures from the university. Among those present were athletic director Brian Santiago and head coach Kevin Young.
Their presence reflected the strong ties between the university’s athletic programs and its broader community values.
Dybantsa later acknowledged the experience through a brief social media post, expressing gratitude for the opportunity to participate in the visit.
Widely regarded as one of the standout talents in college basketball after an impressive scoring season, his appearance at the event drew attention from both sports and local community circles.
