Delhi Police Busts Lashkar-e-Taiba’s Bangladesh Module, 8 Terrorists Arrested in Multi-State Raids

Bangladeshi Nationals Used Fake Indian IDs to Operate Terror Network Across Multiple States

New Delhi: In a major counter-terrorism operation, the Delhi Police has busted a Bangladesh-based module of the banned terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba(LeT). The action followed coordinated raids across Delhi, West Bengal, and Tamil Nadu, leading to the arrest of eight terrorists, including seven Bangladeshi nationals.

According to officials, two of the accused were identified at a metro station with the help of posters circulated by the police and assistance from the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF). The Metro Unit team then tracked and apprehended them.

Investigations revealed that the arrested terrorists had illegally entered India and obtained Indian identity documents to conceal their real identities. They were actively involved in terror-related activities and were operating as part of the LeT’s Bangladesh module.

Recoveries made during the operation include:

  • Pro-Pakistan and terrorist propaganda posters

  • 10 mobile phones

  • 25 credit and debit cards

  • 5 POS machines

  • Bangladeshi passports and identity documents

Security agencies are continuing further investigations to uncover the full network and possible links of the module operating in different parts of the country.
