RWA Marks Annual Function with Cultural Programmes and Sports Events at Laxmibai Nagar

-RWA honours participants with certificates and prizes; annual function held under the leadership of President Rajesh Meena

New Delhi: The Residents Welfare Association (RWA) organised a vibrant annual celebration at the park of the Central Government residential complex, Laxmibai Nagar, on Saturday evening, featuring a blend of sports competitions and cultural programmes.

All winners and participants were honoured by the RWA with certificates and useful prizes such as T-shirts and yoga mats. The main ceremony and prize distribution programme were inaugurated by Area Welfare Officer Ratnesh Bharti by lighting the ceremonial lamp.

The event was further enriched by the presence of RWA Vice President Ajay Priyadarshi, Secretary Bimal Gupta, Treasurer Saumendra Mitra and other office-bearers. The programme began with the blowing of the conch shell and a Saraswati Vandana presented by Abhilasha Priyadarshi.

Held under the leadership of RWA President Rajesh Meena, the annual function included engaging competitions such as badminton, musical chairs, flat race, frog race, lemon race, chess and painting. Children, youth and adults of the Laxmibai Nagar colony participated with great enthusiasm.

Cultural performances including solo and duet songs, dance and instrumental presentations added to the festive spirit and delighted the residents. The programme was smoothly conducted by Dinesh Rawat and Ekant Bhagat.

On the occasion, yoga mats were distributed to participants on behalf of the Ministry of AYUSH to promote a healthy lifestyle. Arrangements were also made at the RWA office for availing services of the Yoga Post Department and for eye check-up facilities, which were utilised by Central Government employees and their family members.
