Alwar, Rajasthan , October 5, 2025 — Rajasthan took a major step towards enhancing its green infrastructure with the inauguration of the state’s first ‘Namo Biodiversity Park’ at Pratap Bandh in Alwar. The inauguration was led by Union Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Bhupender Yadav, in the presence of Sanjay Sharma, Cabinet Minister, Government of Rajasthan. The ceremony began with a symbolic tree plantation, marking the park’s commitment to ecological restoration.
In a post shared on ‘X’ (formerly Twitter), Yadav announced that the new park, also referred to as ‘NAMO VAN’, has been conceptualized as a vital green lung for the region. It is expected to improve local air quality, increase greenery, and serve as a platform for environmental education for both residents and visitors.
More than just a biodiversity space, the park aims to encourage eco-friendly and sustainable lifestyles, inspiring citizens to actively participate in conservation efforts. Officials noted that the initiative represents a significant milestone in strengthening Rajasthan’s green cover while supporting India’s broader climate action and biodiversity goals.
