Akhilesh Yadav Clarifies Break with I-PAC: Financial Pressure Behind Decision, Not Election Results

Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav has confirmed that the party has ended its partnership with political consultancy I-PAC, citing budget limitations and rejecting claims linking the move to recent electoral performances.

Samajwadi Party (SP) president Akhilesh Yadav has confirmed that the party has officially ended its professional engagement with the Indian Political Action Committee (I-PAC), a political consultancy known for managing election campaigns and strategic planning for various political parties.

Addressing the development, Yadav emphasized that the decision was taken purely on financial grounds. He explained that the party is currently working within restricted resources, and maintaining such professional contracts was becoming difficult due to internal budget considerations.

He further clarified that the separation from I-PAC should not be linked to any political narrative or interpreted as a reaction to electoral outcomes in other states. In particular, he dismissed speculation connecting the move to recent election results, including those in West Bengal, stating that such assumptions are inaccurate and misleading.

According to him, the termination of the agreement was part of an internal review of expenditures and organizational planning within the Samajwadi Party. He described it as an administrative decision focused on optimizing resource allocation rather than a politically motivated step.

Yadav also rejected suggestions that changing political dynamics or performance in other regions had any influence on the decision. He reiterated that the party’s focus remains on strengthening its internal structure and managing its finances responsibly.

The clarification comes amid political discussions and media speculation over the future of the SP’s campaign strategy, especially regarding its use of professional consultancy services in elections. However, Yadav’s statement makes it clear that the move is primarily financial and organizational in nature.

With this development, Samajwadi Party is expected to rely more on its internal team for future campaign planning and political strategy, while continuing to reassess its expenditure priorities ahead of upcoming political challenges.
