Vadodara Bullet Train Station Takes Shape Above Railway Platform 7

Vadodara, August 4, 2026 : Construction of the Vadodara Bullet Train Station is progressing rapidly, with the station being developed directly above Platform No. 7 of the existing Indian Railways’ Vadodara station near Pandya Bridge. The strategic location has been planned to ensure seamless integration between the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail corridor and the Indian Railways network, allowing passengers to transfer conveniently between the two services.

The station’s location also provides easy access to the Western Railway station as well as the city and interstate bus depot, making it a major multi-modal transport hub for commuters.

The architectural design of the station draws inspiration from the iconic Banyan tree, which has a strong association with Vadodara. Reflecting the tree’s profile and foliage, the station has been planned to create spacious interiors filled with natural light while offering passengers pleasant views of the sky through thoughtfully designed openings.

To enhance passenger comfort, the station will feature modern amenities including waiting lounges, baby care rooms, restrooms, retail outlets and other essential facilities. Dedicated parking spaces along with separate pick-up and drop-off zones for cars, buses and auto-rickshaws have also been incorporated into the design to ensure smooth traffic movement.

Construction work has achieved significant milestones. Slab casting at the concourse, track and platform levels has been completed, while structural steel erection work is currently underway, marking steady progress towards the completion of the station.
