Documentary Screening on POJK Liberation held on February 22

India is Committed to the Complete Integration of Jammu and Kashmir: Dr. Pawan Singh

Faridabad, February 23, 2025 – The Department of Communication and Media Technology at J.C. Bose University, YMCA, Faridabad, organized a special screening of the documentary ‘Bharat Sankalp‘ on February 22 to mark Akhanda Bharat Sankalp Diwas. The event commenced with a brief discussion on the significance of a united India, led by Dr. Pawan Singh, Chairperson of CMT Department, along with faculty members and students. The objective was to educate students on the historical and cultural importance of Akhanda Bharat.

A specially curated documentary, showcased on a large screen, highlighted India’s cultural and national unity, the external forces that have attempted to disrupt it, and the struggles faced by Indian society. The film also emphasized the importance of reclaiming Indian territories under illegal occupation by Pakistan and China, reinforcing the resolve for a united India.

Addressing the students, Dr. Pawan Singh stated, “February 22 marks a day of resolution for the liberation of POJK. India remains steadfast in its commitment to the complete integration of Jammu and Kashmir. The regions that have been separated from us are an integral part of India. Every citizen must contribute in their own way and remember that nations that forget their history can never build a strong future.” He urged students to reflect deeply on the subject and raise awareness about it.

During the event, Jivesh Mattu, a journalism student from Kashmir, was visibly emotional. His family has been struggling for the cause of a united India and the reclamation of Jammu and Kashmir’s occupied regions. Sharing his personal experience, Jivesh said, “My family was displaced from Kashmir and still holds onto the hope of returning to our ancestral home, where our forefathers’ memories remain.”

Other students, including Deep, Jatin, Yash Negi, Reet Sharma and Himanshi Chodhary, said that before watching the documentary, they were not that much aware of the extent of Pakistani and Chinese occupation of Indian territories in Kashmir.

The event was coordinated under the leadership of senior instructor Dushyant Tyagi, with Tanishka Nanda handling the stage proceedings. The occasion was graced by Assistant Professors Dr. Sonia Hooda and Dr. Rahul Arya, Production Assistant Pankaj Saini, and a large number of media students. The initiative by the Department of Communication and Media Technology proved to be an inspiring and educational experience for the students.
