Faridabad Police Crack Down on Illegal Parking & Traffic Violations to Ensure Road Safety

Faridabad Police, Led by CP Satyendra Gupta and DCP Jasleen Kaur, Intensifies Crackdown on Illegal Parking and Traffic Violations for Safer Roads

Faridabad, February 22, 2025– On the orders of Police Commissioner Satyendra Gupta and under the guidance of DCP Traffic Jasleen Kaur, the Road Safety Inspector Rajesh Kumar’s team and the Traffic Police have been taking strict action to ensure traffic-free roads in Faridabad. In this regard, Inspector Rajesh Kumar’s team removed vehicles parked near Sector-16 Market and QRG Hospital and issued online challans for vehicles parked in no-parking zones.

As part of an ongoing effort to improve traffic management and make Faridabad accident-free, the police have been continuously educating vehicle drivers about traffic rules and road safety. Drivers are being informed about the importance of using safety equipment, adhering to speed limits, not driving in the wrong direction, avoiding wrong parking, and following other traffic regulations. However, some drivers continue to ignore these rules, which has led to special campaigns and issuance of challans against violators.

DCP Traffic Jasleen Kaur stated that Faridabad Police is committed to preventing road accidents and ensuring the safe travel of citizens. Therefore, adherence to road safety rules is essential to avoid accidents. In addition to on-the-spot action, traffic violators are also issued postal challans (photo taken via phone).

The traffic police appeals to the citizens of Faridabad to follow traffic rules and cooperate with the traffic police to make the city accident-free. Citizens can report violations or seek immediate traffic assistance by calling the Faridabad Traffic Control at 0129-2267201, Dial-112, or 0172-2584700. They can also provide information via the Faridabad Traffic Police’s social media platforms on Twitter (https://x.com/FTPfbd), Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/FBDFTP), and Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/faridabad_traffic_police).

Kamala, a local resident, had informed DCP Traffic about a traffic jam, and immediate action was taken to clear the congestion. Furthermore, in accordance with DCP Traffic’s directives, feedback will now be collected from those providing such information, with a female police officer designated for this task.

Between February 1 and 20, 2025, Faridabad Traffic Control received approximately 200 calls or reports, including 80 related to traffic jams caused by heavy traffic, 60 regarding illegal parking, and 15 related to vehicle breakdowns and wedding processions causing road congestion. Additionally, some reports were received about sewer water clogging roads, and necessary action was taken to ensure smooth traffic flow.

Traffic violations such as illegal parking, wrong-side driving, overspeeding, riding without a helmet, drunk driving, and using mobile phones while driving increase the risk of accidents, endangering the lives of individuals. DCP Traffic Jasleen Kaur has instructed strict action against violators, particularly those violating the Motor Vehicle Act, including vehicles without number plates and those with black films on windows.
