NEW DELHI, 22 JUNE 2026: The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) continued its protest at Jantar Mantar on Monday, marking the third consecutive day of demonstrations against alleged examination irregularities and the purported leak of the NEET examination paper conducted on May 3.
A large number of students, activists and supporters gathered at the protest site, demanding a thorough investigation into the alleged malpractice and greater accountability from the authorities responsible for conducting the examination. Protesters raised slogans and carried placards seeking transparency in the examination process and justice for students who they claim were adversely affected by the controversy.
According to the demonstrators, the alleged paper leak has undermined the credibility of one of the country’s most important entrance examinations and created uncertainty among lakhs of aspiring medical students. They urged the government and concerned agencies to take swift action against those involved and ensure that the integrity of the examination system is protected.
CJP leaders addressing the gathering stated that the protest would continue until their demands are adequately addressed. They called for stronger safeguards against examination fraud and sought measures to restore confidence among students and parents. Protesters also appealed for a fair and transparent inquiry into the matter and appropriate action against individuals found guilty of wrongdoing.
The demonstration remained largely peaceful, with participants expressing their concerns through speeches, slogans and discussions. Security personnel were deployed in and around Jantar Mantar to maintain law and order and ensure the smooth conduct of the protest.
The NEET examination serves as the gateway for admission to medical colleges across the country and is taken by millions of students every year. Allegations of irregularities have sparked widespread concern among students, parents and education stakeholders, leading to renewed calls for reforms in the examination and evaluation process. As the protest enters its third day, all eyes remain on the response of the authorities and any potential developments regarding the demands raised by the demonstrators.
