Big Relief for Rail Passengers: Indian Railways Approves New Train Stoppages at Hansi, Patuwas Meharana and Bijainagar

NEW DELHI, 22 JUNE,2026 : In a major passenger-friendly move, Indian Railways has approved additional stoppages for four trains at key stations in Haryana and Rajasthan, providing improved rail connectivity and greater travel convenience for thousands of commuters, students, traders, farmers and daily passengers.

The newly approved stoppages include the 54085/54086 Delhi–Satrod Passenger at Patuwas Meharana station, 14619/14620 Agartala–Ferozpur Express and 14717/14718 Bikaner–Haridwar Express at Hansi station in Haryana, and the 12981/12982 Jaipur–Asarva Express at Bijainagar station in Rajasthan.

The decision was taken after a detailed operational assessment and consideration of passenger demand, with railway authorities finding the proposed halts operationally feasible.

For residents of Patuwas Meharana, the new stoppage of the Delhi–Satrod Passenger train will significantly improve local mobility. Earlier, passengers had to depend on nearby stations such as Jharili and Charkhi Dadri. The new halt is expected to ease travel and strengthen connectivity on the Rewari–Bhiwani section.

At Hansi, a major railway station on the Bhiwani–Hisar route, the addition of two long-distance express train stoppages will provide passengers with direct access to important destinations across northern, eastern and western India. The move is likely to benefit both business and leisure travellers while reducing dependence on neighbouring stations.

Similarly, passengers in Bijainagar will now have direct access to the Jaipur–Asarva Express, improving connectivity between Rajasthan and Gujarat. The new stoppage is expected to benefit students, traders and professionals who frequently travel between the two states.

Railway officials said the initiative reflects Indian Railways’ commitment to enhancing passenger convenience through demand-based service planning. The additional stoppages are expected to improve accessibility, reduce travel time to nearby stations and support regional economic activity by providing better transportation links. The move has been welcomed by local residents and public representatives who had long sought improved rail services for their areas.
