Amit Shah to Launch NAFEX.in: NAFED’s Digital Auction Portal Set to Transform Agricultural Trade

NEW DELHI, 22 JUNE 2026: Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah will launch NAFED’s digital auction portal NAFEX.in on June 23, 2026, at Atal Akshay Urja Bhawan in New Delhi. The event will also be attended by Union Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, NAFED Chairman Jethabhai Ahir, Managing Director Deepak Agarwal and other senior officials.

The launch of NAFEX.in marks a significant step towards modernising agricultural trade and enhancing transparency in auction-related processes. The digital platform has been designed to streamline auction activities, improve operational efficiency and provide greater ease of access for farmers, member institutions and other stakeholders associated with NAFED.

Apart from unveiling the auction portal, Amit Shah will launch several key digital and welfare initiatives aimed at strengthening NAFED’s services and supporting the farming community. These include the NAFED-KALYAN Scholarship Scheme for children of farmers, the DRISHTI Portal for inventory management of pulses and oilseeds, and an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Portal to improve organisational efficiency and management systems.

A live demonstration of the registration process on NAFEX.in and the commencement of auction operations on the platform will also take place during the programme. Officials believe the portal will help create a more transparent and technology-driven ecosystem for agricultural marketing and procurement.

During the event, the Union Home Minister will distribute scholarship cheques under the NAFED-KALYAN scheme to children of farmers, reinforcing the organisation’s commitment to farmer welfare and educational support.

Following the launch ceremony, Amit Shah will hold a meeting with NAFED’s Board of Directors, where a detailed presentation on the organisation’s achievements, progress and future roadmap will be made. Discussions will also focus on the implementation of directions issued during his previous visit.

The initiatives are aligned with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of “Sahkar Se Samriddhi”, aimed at strengthening cooperative institutions through technology, transparency and farmer-centric reforms while promoting sustainable growth in the agricultural sector.
