Kolkata, April 24, 2026: Union Home Minister Amit Shah stated that the Bharatiya Janata Party is expected to secure more than 110 seats out of 152 in the first phase of the West Bengal Assembly elections as campaigning gains intensity across the state.
Speaking on the ongoing electoral situation, Shah expressed confidence in the party’s prospects, indicating that early feedback from the ground and organisational outreach suggest a strong performance in the initial phase of polling.
