New Delhi, April 22, 2026: Union Home Minister Amit Shah paid tribute to those who lost their lives in the Pahalgam terror attack on its first anniversary, saying the sorrow of the tragedy continues to be deeply felt across the country.
Recalling the incident, he said the loss of innocent lives remains etched in the collective memory of the nation and continues to evoke grief among citizens. He emphasized that such acts of violence serve as a reminder of the urgent need to stand together against terrorism.
In his message, the Home Minister described terrorism as a serious threat to humanity and stressed the importance of unity in overcoming it. He reiterated that India remains committed to taking a strict approach against terror activities and those who support them.
He further affirmed that the government will continue to follow a zero tolerance policy, ensuring that strong measures are maintained to safeguard the country and uphold national security.
