Gurugram, March 27, 2026: The National Capital Region Transport Corporation has finalized the design for the upcoming Cyber City Rapid Rail Transit System station, part of the Namo Bharat train corridor connecting Delhi, Gurugram, Rewari, and Neemrana in Rajasthan. The finalized plans have been submitted to the Haryana Mass Rapid Transport Corporation and Gurugram Metro Rail Limited for review.
The design is expected to receive official approval during a high-level meeting chaired by Haryana Chief Secretary Anurag Rastogi. The session will also discuss outstanding land acquisition issues critical to the metro depot alignment, including approximately 1,300 square meters owned by Haryana Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Limited.
Officials highlighted additional challenges along the corridor, particularly the stretch between Hero Honda Chowk and Umang Bhardwaj Chowk. These include relocating a sweet shop, a religious ashram, a CNG station, and utility pipelines such as water and sewer lines. Several of these land-related matters remain unresolved and will be key discussion points in the upcoming meeting.
Construction planning is further complicated by a three-kilometre segment along Sushil Aima Road, where the Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority plans to build a major stormwater drain. Authorities said the metro line construction must be coordinated with the drain project to prevent severe traffic disruptions.
GMRL has requested that the stormwater drain work be completed in advance to facilitate smooth construction of the RRTS station and associated tracks. Officials stressed that simultaneous work could lead to major congestion and hinder timely progress.
The station design incorporates modern transit amenities while accounting for integration with surrounding urban infrastructure. Planners are prioritizing minimal disruption to local communities while ensuring the facility meets projected passenger capacity and operational efficiency standards.
Haryana and Gurugram authorities are actively coordinating to expedite clearances, resolve land issues, and align timelines for both civil works and utility relocation. Stakeholder meetings are expected to continue until all major hurdles are addressed.
The Namo Bharat train project aims to enhance regional connectivity and provide faster, more efficient travel between Delhi and key cities in Rajasthan and Haryana. The Cyber City station is envisioned as a key hub for passengers commuting for work and business purposes.
Authorities emphasized that resolving land and construction challenges early in the project lifecycle is critical to avoid delays and cost overruns. Coordination among NCRTC, GMRL, HMRTC, and GMDA is being strengthened to ensure smooth execution.
Officials remain confident that the finalized design and ongoing preparatory work will enable the Cyber City RRTS station to become a modern, functional transit hub, supporting the larger vision of rapid regional connectivity under the Namo Bharat corridor.
