Davos / Ranchi : On the sidelines of the World Economic Forum, Chief Minister Mr. Hemant Soren held a meeting with California based Executive Vice President from Infosys Global, Mr. Ashish Kumar Das. The discussions focused on skill development, technology-led growth, and the digital and AI-driven transformation of the mining sector in Jharkhand. The interaction marked an important and forward-looking moment in shaping the future development roadmap of the state.
Clear Focus on Inclusive and Technology-Driven Development
Following the meeting, Mr. Ashish Kumar Das stated that the interaction with Chief Minister Hemant Soren was highly positive, visionary, and encouraging, clearly reflecting the state’s commitment to inclusive and IT-driven development. He noted that the Chief Minister’s strong emphasis on youth skilling, strengthening digital infrastructure, and transforming the mining sector through advanced digital and Artificial Intelligence (AI) interventions demonstrates Jharkhand’s preparedness for the future economy. He also expressed appreciation for the Chief Minister’s work and long-term vision for the state.

Agreed Areas of Collaboration
During the meeting, discussions were held on the potential role of Wingspan in accelerating digital and AI skill development for the youth of Jharkhand. Infosys also proposed showcasing AI-led business transformation use cases developed for the mining sector. It was agreed that a follow-up virtual interaction would be organised in February 2026 for this purpose.

In addition, the Chief Minister, the Chief Secretary, and senior officials of the Government of Jharkhand were invited to visit Infosys House, where advanced AI innovations and technology solutions would be demonstrated. This engagement is a concrete step towards positioning Jharkhand as an emerging hub of skills, technology, and innovation, where development, opportunity, and future readiness progress together.
