Delhi CM Rekha Gupta Visits NCC Republic Day Camp, Lauds Cadets’ Discipline and Patriotism

New Delhi, January 15: Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta visited the National Cadet Corps (NCC) Republic Day Camp (RDC) at Delhi Cantt on Wednesday, praising the cadets for their exemplary discipline, coordinated march, and vibrant cultural presentations that, she said, reflect the spirit and pride of the nation.

During her visit, Mrs. Gupta commended the NCC’s role in shaping responsible and courageous youth, emphasizing its focus on fostering nationalism, unity, and commitment to the Constitution. She highlighted national integration programs, including the Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat and Special National Integration Camps, as vital platforms for building cohesion among young citizens.

The Chief Minister expressed confidence in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision that today’s cadets are tomorrow’s leaders, capable of serving India in diverse fields while upholding the country’s unity, integrity, and dignity. She encouraged the youth to embrace their responsibilities with dedication, reminding them that freedom comes with a duty to contribute to nation-building.

As part of the tour, Mrs. Gupta reviewed the ‘Guard of Honour’ presented by the NCC cadets and enjoyed a band display by cadets from Newman College, Thodupuzha, Kerala. She also visited the ‘Flag Area’, showcasing social themes and national achievements, followed by a walkthrough of the ‘Hall of Fame’ detailing the NCC’s history and accomplishments. The visit concluded with a lively cultural program by the cadets.

The Chief Minister’s visit underscored the government’s support for the NCC’s mission of developing disciplined, patriotic, and socially responsible youth ready to contribute to India’s growth.
