Prime Minister Narendra Modi has conveyed his deep sorrow over the loss of lives following a tragic accident on the Yamuna Expressway in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh. He also extended his best wishes for the swift recovery of those who sustained injuries in the incident.
The Prime Minister announced financial assistance from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund (PMNRF). An ex-gratia amount of ₹2 lakh will be provided to the families of each deceased, while those injured will receive ₹50,000.
In a message shared by the Prime Minister’s Office on X, Modi described the incident as deeply distressing and said his thoughts were with the bereaved families. He also prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured and reaffirmed the government’s support through relief assistance from the PMNRF.
