New Delhi: The 44th India International Trade Fair at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi concluded on Thursday with a felicitation ceremony, where the Rajasthan Pavilion was awarded the Gold Medal for outstanding performance. Receiving the honour on behalf of the State, Pavilion Director Harsh Sharma and Manager Vinay Sharma accepted the award from ITPO Managing Director Dr. Neeraj Khairwal. Speaking on the occasion, Director Harsh Sharma said the gold medal is a moment of pride for the entire State. He stated that the award will further promote the preservation of Rajasthan’s handicrafts, art and culture, while expanding their reach among domestic and international visitors.

The Pavilion was made rich and attractive through the participation of the Industries Department, Tourism Department, RIICO, BIP, Khadi, Rajeevika and RUDA. Traditional Rajasthani cuisines and handicraft stalls remained major attractions for buyers. Dedicated to the spirit of ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’, the Pavilion showcased cultural integration between Rajasthan and Assam, which received strong appreciation from visitors. The initiative helped exchange art, culture and trade prospects between the two States, establishing stronger cultural and commercial ties. He said that the initiative of the Rajasthan Government has created wider exposure and opportunities for artisans, craftsmen, entrepreneurs and investors at both national and international levels. This year, the Pavilion organised live demonstrations by artisans and entrepreneurs, along with special sessions. The One District One Product (ODOP) wall and an exhibition based on heritage, innovation and sustainable industrial development remained major points of attraction, drawing consistent footfall and contributing to the Pavilion’s Gold Medal achievement. Over the fourteen-day trade fair, Rajasthan participated as the Partner State, presenting a unique display of the State’s art, culture, handicrafts, tourism and industrial growth. The international platform provided long-term business opportunities and global exposure to the State’s craftsmen and small enterprises.
