October 31- Minister Narendra Modi and several NDA leaders extended warm birthday greetings to Union Minister for Food Processing Industries, Chirag Paswan, who turned 43 today. Leaders praised his vision and transformative efforts in revitalizing India’s food processing ecosystem since taking charge in June 2024.

Under Paswan’s leadership, the Ministry of Food Processing Industries has launched a series of initiatives aimed at empowering farmers, boosting rural employment, and attracting global investment in the sector. Flagship events such as World Food India 2024 and the India International Seafood Show 2025 have positioned India as a rising hub for agri-business innovation and export-oriented growth.

Prime Minister Modi, in his message on X (formerly Twitter), lauded Paswan for “carrying forward the rich legacy of Shri Ram Vilas Paswan with youthful energy and progressive ideas.” He added that Chirag’s commitment to farmer welfare and industrial modernization “reflects the spirit of a new India focused on inclusive growth.”

Several NDA allies, including Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP National President J.P. Nadda, and Union Minister Piyush Goyal, also extended wishes, highlighting Paswan’s growing influence within the coalition. Leaders from Bihar, across party lines, acknowledged his efforts to uplift the food sector and empower self-help groups through targeted reforms.

The widespread greetings and political attention come at a time when Chirag Paswan is emerging as a pivotal figure ahead of the 2025 Bihar Assembly Elections, reinforcing both his leadership within the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) and his expanding national footprint.
